Girl scouting activities are designed to use three processes that, when used together, ensure quality experiences and promote the fun and friendship so integral to girl scouting.  The processes are categories by girl led, learning by doing, and cooperative learning.  The framework of our girl scout leadership experience model is based on three "keys to leadership":  discover--girls discover themselves;  connect--girls connect with others; take action--girls act to improve their communities and the world.  From exploring an art museum, preparing for a camping trip, building electronic robots or planning a meal at the soup kitchen, every activity incorporates elements of our proven girl leadership development model.  The program is delivered through regularly scheduled troop meetings (as decided by each group) and special events conducted by adult volunteers who serve as positive role models, mentors and friends of today's girls.
